No.1: Ginger Honey Tea

Ginger Honey Tea is a great way to boost your immune system, as the ginger and honey combination is amazing. Honey acts as a natural antibiotic and ginger helps the pain and inflammation which is great! The lemon is also loaded with vitamin C can help boost your immune system so this is a great cocktail to kill a cold and flu.

  • 1 Cup Ginger Root
  • 2 Lemons
  • 1/2-1 Cup Honey (depending on desired taste)
  • 4-5 Cups of Water
  1. Peel the Ginger Root skin off and then cut it into little cubes and set it aside
  2. Grab some lemons and cut them into cubes or wedges and set aside
  3. Add half a cup to a cup of honey depending on your desired taste to about 4-5 cups of water
  4. Put everything together in a pot (you can add the honey afterwards if you like but I like to add it while it's boiling)
  5. Bring it all to a boil and let it boil for about 20-25 minutes
  6. Pour it into your cup and serve (it'll make a whole pot that's enough for everybody in the family or have lots left over throughout the day)
No.2: Natural Cough Syrup

This is an amazing home herbal remedy for the odd cold and flu, I mean how many people can say that they made their own cough syrup naturally! The lemons are perfect as immune system boosters and the honey compliments it very well. Adding cayenne pepper to the mix will bring some
heat, and this heat  you feel from cayenne pepper comes from capsaicin, a compound that has been shown to clear up your nasal passages, thin mucus, and give you some much-needed nasal relief when you have a flu.

  • 3-4 lemons
  • 1 1/2 Cup Raw Organic Honey
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Oil (melted)
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper (Optional)

  1. Add 1 1/2 cups of honey (raw organic honey) to 1/2 cup of melted/heated coconut oil in a pan
  2. Squeeze the lemons, making sure to strain it and remove seeds from the mix
  3. You'll notice it's not combined very well so you'll need to place it on the stove on low-medium heat, making sure to not boil it as you're just trying to combine ingredients
  4. Keep stirring until you'll notice the consistency change and it will be combined! that is all you're trying to do!
  5. Pour it into your jar and it's ready for use, and you can add your cayenne pepper (optional). Allow it to cool before storing!

No.3: Peppermint Tea

Yes you heard me right, Peppermint tea! Now this is kind of a natural remedy as it derives from Peppermint leaves but peppermint tea is amazing to help with reducing fever, nausea and coughs. It also acts as a decongestant, and helps to get rid of any mucus that may aggravate your throat. It loosens chest congestion, and breaks up the phlegm that may be causing your cough. Overall it's just a really simple, easy way to help relieve some of those cold and flu symptoms, so I thought I'd add it in for you guys!

No.4: Oregano Immune Booster

This one is pretty cool and I like to call it the Oregano Immune Booster! Oil of Oregano is known to be antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral and it can stimulate the immune system into your favour. Its high in omega-3 iron and antioxidants which makes you super set up to kill those cold and flu symptoms. Just follow the instructions on your bottle and add it to water, juices, smoothies or to your meals to get best results.

No.5: Garlic Honey Combo

Try putting some garlic honey mixture on a spoon and you'll be surprised about how nice it tastes and how easy it is to do. This is more of a quick tip than anything but it's just crushing up half a clove of garlic, putting it on a tablespoon, adding some raw organic honey and then taking it just like a cough syrup. It will help boost your immune system and I would recommend to take it once or twice a day.
